More Than Cocos by GB is our favorite birthday cake. It only requires three ingredients: oats and eggs. You can make your own oat flour by using regular unflavored oatmeal or oat flour.
Ingredients
1/2 cup oat flour3 eggs1/4 cups natural peanut butter (xylitol/birch Sugar-free).
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Add the batter to a bowl and mix.
2. 4-Ingredient Homemade Birthday Cake

This Kitchen 335 dog cake has only one ingredient, which is the same as our previous option. It is safe, delicious, and sweet for your pup. This recipe uses a ramekin to bake the cake, but you can use an oven-safe ceramic coffee cup instead.
Ingredients
1 large egg3 tablespoons of natural peanut butter (make certain it is xylitol/birch Sugar-Free)1/2 apple, chopped fine1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Spray a baking ramekin with nonstick spray. Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
3. Easy Apple Cupcakes

Saucy Kitchen’s delicious recipe makes perfect-sized cupcakes that your dog will love. Peanut butter should not contain xylitol, which can cause death in dogs.
Ingredients
1 medium apple diced, 3 tablespoons peanut butter + more frosting (make sure it’s xylitol/birch Sugar-free).1 egg1/2 teaspoon baking powder (optional). Bacon bits for topping (optional).
Instructions
Pre-heat the oven to 350 F. Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Line or grease two cupcake tins or small ramekins with parchment paper. Place the batter in the prepared pans. Bake for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely. It can be left as-is or you can frost it with peanut butter and bacon bits.
4. Frosted Pupcakes

Recipe Tin Eats’s delicious recipe for a pupcake uses potatoes as the secret ingredient.
Pupcake Ingredients
2 ripe bananas1/2 cup smooth/creamy Peanut Butter (make sure it’s xylitol/birch-free)1/3 cups honey1 1/2 cup flour (any type)2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder1/4 cup oil (vegetable oil, canola peanut oil, or olive oil).3/4 cup water
Fluffy Dog Friendly “Frosting” Ingredients
1 pound potatoes, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces2 tablespoon honey1/2 cup yogurt plain low fat (any type unsweetened) OR sour Cream2 – 4 Tbsp Water12 small dog bone biscuits for decorating (optional).
Instructions
Pupcakes
Preheat oven at 350 F. Line 12-hole muffin pan with cupcake liners. Mix until smooth. Add flour, baking powder and oil. Mix until smooth. Fill the liners 3/4 full. Bake for 22 minutes or until top is golden brown.
Frosting
Place potatoes in large pot of boiling water. Bring potatoes to a boil. Once the water has boiled, cook for 20 minutes or until they are very soft and beginning to crumble around edges. Just like making mashed potatoes. Drain the liquid and then return it to the pot. Mix yogurt, honey, water, starting with 2 tbsp. Blend with an electric mixer until smooth. You can add more water if necessary. It should be soft like frosting.
You can also use instant mashed potatoes if you’re feeling lazy or want to cheat.
5. No-Bake Dog Cakes

Spoiled Hounds’ no-bake recipe is super sweet and doesn’t contain any eggs or grains. It’s great for dogs who have allergies. You can feed your dog as well as their friends with this recipe. It makes eight servings.
Ingredients
Layers of Cake
1 cup oat flour1/4 cup melted coco oil1/2 cup natural unsweetened peanut Butter (xylitol/birch Sugar-free)1/4 Cup applesauce1/2 cups pumpkin puree
Frosting and cake filling
1/2 cup unsweetened natural peanut butter1/4 cup plain Greek Yogurt
Topping for cakes
5 large blueberries
Instructions
Mix the oat flour with the coconut oil, rolled oatmeal, peanut butter, pumpkin puree, and melted coconut oil in a bowl. Let the dough rest for about 15 minutes to firm up. Then press or roll the dough out onto a smooth surface. Cut out as many circles of the same size as possible. This recipe yields three layers of 4 inches. You will have enough dough to make two smaller treats.
6. Microwave Mug Cake

Ingredients
1 tbsp grated carrots2 tbsp peanut butter (plus a little more for frosting)4 tbsp water4 tbsp whole wheat flour (or nut flour or oat flour, if your dog has an allergy to wheat)1/2 teaspoon of baking powder1/2 teaspoon honey1/2 teaspoon vanillaOptional: Greek yogurt
Instructions
Grate carrots. Put the carrots in a grater. If desired, decorate the cupcake with Greek yogurt or peanut butter while it’s still warm.
