The-Benefits-of-Feeding-Raw-Dog-Food-And-How-to-Make-an-Easy-Switch-HEADLINE

If you are anything like me, then you pay close attention to your diet and realize that good nutrition is essential for your health.

I am a vegetarian and try to eat only natural foods.

We don’t always think this way when it comes to dogs. We go to the supermarket to buy processed kibble, which is far from natural. Although it might seem convenient, it is not good for your dog.

Even “premium” brands aren’t necessarily the best for your four-legged friend.

I have been researching the raw-dog-food diet extensively and was surprised at what I discovered about feeding kibble.

This topic is something I have discussed with experts in my podcast.

This is when I realized all the benefits of feeding your dog raw food.

And I was convinced.

Since I’ve been keeping my dogs healthy for quite some time, I use a mix of kibble and raw dog food.

Knowing what I know now, however, I am working towards a raw-food diet to feed all my dogs.

Do you feel the need to do the same?

Let me tell you a bit about myself and provide some helpful resources to help you make the right decision for your dog.

What is wrong with Kibble?

Kibble is the most common dog food.

It’s simple, easy, and clean… and it seems like your dog loves it.

The truth is, kibble is highly digestible and processed.

Many nutrients listed on dog food labels are synthetically created. Many vitamins and minerals are synthetically created.

Commercial kibble can also contain mycotoxins, which are toxic substances that can cause allergic reactions and even cancer. It also lacks the essential enzymes your dog needs to maintain a healthy digestive system.

Your dog may be a part your family but they are still animals and CARNIVORES. Their nature is to eat real food, not processed dog food.

They are not designed to take in synthetic nutrients or flavorings.

You might also be thinking…

“Doggy Dan, my vet recommended my pet’s food.” It can’t be good!

Although your vet can perform surgery and provide emergency care, they don’t learn much about nutrition. The majority of their training is (GASP!) Pet food companies provide training.

It is therefore not surprising that they recommend pet food companies.

You don’t want to feed your dog kibble if they have any health issues like allergies, weight problems, digestive problems or other conditions. A raw-food diet may be the answer to your dog’s problems.

What are the benefits of a Raw Diet?

Before we get into the benefits, let me clarify what a raw diet for dogs means.

Raw dog food can include organ meats, muscle and bone meats, raw eggs and dog-friendly fruits or vegetables. You can also include yogurt and other dairy products.

What does this mean? This could refer to raw chicken (on or without the bone), grass-fed beef or animal liver, kidneys or kidneys, or raw eggs, or broccoli, spinach, or apples.

Raw food should be fresh and uncooked. You should ensure that you only purchase meat from a trusted source.

You can even subscribe to services that deliver raw dog food every day directly to your home. This makes it easier for you.

Raw-food diet advocates for dogs offer many benefits, including healthier skin and shinier coats.

Many people also report that raw-dog-food can help with digestive problems and health issues. Eating raw meat, organs and bones can help with common issues such as allergies and digestive problems.

Dogs can easily digest raw food.

A raw diet eliminates many of the artificial allergens that may have been added to the kibble your dog was being fed.

You’re not treating the root cause of allergies in dogs if you keep using medication to treat them. Raw-food diets get to the root of the problem and eliminate the need for medication.

Raw meat can be dangerous for family members to come into contact with. You shouldn’t have any problems if you take the proper precautions. Wash your hands after handling raw meat, and clean your dog’s area.

You might wonder, “How safe are these bones to eat?” Will my dog choke on them or not?

The bones can be safe for your dog as long as they are not cooked or charred. The digestive tract can become inflamed and damaged by shards of bones that have been cooked.

It is important to feed them raw meat, bones, or organs.

Are you ready for your dog to eat a raw diet? Here are the next steps…

How to start a raw diet for your dog

It doesn’t have to be difficult to switch to raw dog food. There are many options available if you choose to go raw.

It is even more important to remember that little changes can make a big difference!

You can also find 100% raw diets from holistic vets if you are ready to make the leap. Follow the recipe to get all the ingredients from your butcher.

Pre-packaged, raw meals are available if this seems daunting to you. There are many options available at your local pet shop. You also have the option to order food online.

You can also find freeze-dried raw foods in specialty pet food shops. This is a great choice because freeze-dried food doesn’t get messy and doesn’t expire quickly. It’s also easy to feed. You just need to let the frozen dried pieces soak in warm water for 10 minutes before you start feeding them.

Even better, even if you aren’t ready to commit to feeding your dog 100% raw food, you can still add raw food to your dog’s food to provide some of the natural nutrients.

It’s so simple!

If you’re ready to switch to a raw diet for your dog, then you can get rid of all kibble. Fast your dog for 12 hours before you give the raw food to him. *

Be aware that your dog might not respond well to raw food at first. They don’t have the enzymes to digest the raw foods. You can slowly wean your dog by introducing cooked meat to the diet. So that their bodies can adjust.

My podcast will help you learn even more about raw dog food. I interview experts who know a lot more than me! These are my top picks for episodes on the topic.
